Front Door Locking

Lately, I've noticed that the front door has been improperly locked much more frequently than in the past. After checking the door, I think I may know what is causing the problem.

The latch controlled by the door nob does not force the door in the correct position to insert the deadbolt. In order to properly lock the door, it must be pulled closed while locking the deadbolt.

These photos illustrate the difference between the locked and incorrectly locked (unlocked) forms of our front door. Although there is considerable conformational homology, note that when the door is actually locked, the key is turned clockwise beyond vertical. Note also, that there is a very satisfying metallic clunking sound when the deadbolt actually slides into place.

Please check your key craftspersonship by trying to open the door: turn the door nob and push.

This video demonstrates an incorrect and a correct locking technique. Note how the door can be opened following the use of the incorrect technique. Also, note the very satisfying metallic clunking sound that the lock makes when it actually slides into place. Unlike Mick Jagger, we can all get satisfaction.

Genevieve is leaving!

But only for the summer, and to Austin, which is a relief...

Wes Shaves!

This life changing event was brought to you by INTJ #2 -- We use numbers!

Meyers-Briggs

Here are the results of the online Meyers-Briggs test as taken by the members of Farmhouse2329, Terre and E.T.

ENFP - Hans - Extraversion Intuition Feeling Perceiving

ENFJ - Wes - Extraversion Intuition Feeling Judging
++++
E/I NFJ - Terre - Extraintroversion Intuition Feeling Judging
++++
INFJ - Erin - Introversion Intuition Feeling Judging
INFJ - Heidi - Introversion Intuition Thinking Judging

INFP - Genevieve - Introversion Intuition Feeling Perceiving
INFP - E.T. - Introversion Intuition Feeling Perceiving

INTJ - Katelyn - Introversion Intuition Thinking Judging
INTJ - Joel - Introversion Intuition Thinking Judging

No one
among us, not even E.T., relies on sensing over intuition. We all primarily believe in the information from our imaginary worlds rather than what we encounter in the external world. What does that say about the way in which we conduct scientific research? (Especially, Hans, Erin, Katelyn and Joel) Answer: Our thought experiments kick ass!

Katelyn and Joel are cold and calculating, choosing to rely on logic rather than be swayed by the musings of our hearts, unlike the majority of you alien life-form loving folks.

Only Hans combines extroversion with the ability to perceive things.

Terre bridges the disparate worlds of Wes and Erin & Heidi.

Counting Terre with the other INFJs, ya'll have
the plurality when it comes to specific personality type within the house. While you may only be 2% of the population at large, you account for a whopping 1/3 (33%) of the extended (interstellarly so) house family. All hail INFJ!

It's on!

Silliness happens. Now digital documentation is just a few clicks away.
